Melting of paraffin wax for application to fabrics using self-contained, electrically heated pots or wax kettles on hotplates.

In ‘Batik’ work, molten wax is applied to fabrics before dyeing them.Some chemicals used in identifying and cleaning fabrics are highly flammable, eg, methylated spirit and acetone.
