This course is designed for safety officers and others who may have to oversee the DT facilities in schools
and colleges. The main emphasis is on management issues, risk assessment and the monitoring of H&S
practice.

This course is designed for teachers and technicians working the Art & Design area. The course
takes place in a school Art and Design department and involves a mixture of presenter input and
practical exercises.

This course is designed for Safety Officers working in local authorities or MATs or others with
The emphasis is on how to carry out a D&T departmental audit and develop an action plan to
address any issues that arise from this process.

This one-day course should be attended by the whole D&T department including: subject lead(s), teachers,
technicians and other support staff. Senior Leadership Team members with responsibility for the Technology
department and/or health and safety would find the morning sessions useful.
