MRAT - 046 - Asbestos in Motor Vehicle Engineering
Demonstrations and exercises done by students on old motor vehicles may reveal asbestos products particularly as disc pads, brake linings, clutch linings and heat insulation around exhaust pipes.

It is often necessary to have access to the underside of vehicles or all-round assemblies such as engines, gear-boxes, etc. All of these are heavy so hoists, jacks, cranes and lifts are needed.
