This document contains list of the detailed workshop maintenance that should be scheduled in D&T, including daily, weekly and termly checks. 

This MRAT brings together a number of aspects from other MRATs, and provides information on the use of general hand tools in a practical workshop.

This guide has been developed to support schools in making arrangements for when pupils have to stay in a workshop, food room or art studio for the whole school day.

It has been developed for use from September 2020.

In this edition we give you the latest on development of the new GCSE for D&T and overview of the latest training availbe from CLEAPSS. There's some helpful advice on workshop maintenance including sing QR codes. We provide a range of resources to support food and textiles and a project idea to make your own “motorised vehicle” in 10 easy steps as well as the usual health and safety updates.
